Ingredients:
1 lb okra, sliced into round sections
1 onion, diced
Whole spices (1 tsp mustard seeds)
Pinch of asofoteida (a.k.a. Hing)
1/2 tsp turmeric pwd
1 tsp chili pwd
1 tsp Tava fry masala/garam masala
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp Canola/vegetable oil
Cook:1 lb okra, sliced into round sections
1 onion, diced

1 tsp chili pwd
1 tsp Tava fry masala/garam masala
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp Canola/vegetable oil
Heat oil on medium heat.
Add mustard seeds and hing.
Once popped, add onions and saute until golden brown.
Add turmeric and chili pwds and mix well. Add okra and saute for 2 mins.
Cover and check every 2 mins, as okra cooks fast. If becomes stringy and sticky, then it is overcooked.
Once cooked, add tava fry masala, salt and sugar.
